Eddie Van Halen would have turned 70 this Sunday.
Born in Amsterdam on January 26th, 1955, he succumbed to complications from cancer on October 6th, 2020.
As for whether Alex and Eddie would have written a book like Alex did last year with Brothers, Alex told us, "No, I don't think we would have done it."
Alex hasn't performed since his brother's death, but adds that he's not retired.
Today marks the 30th anniversary of Van Halen releasing Balance, their 10th studio album and last with Sammy Hagar.
It's also the 23rd anniversary (2002) of the band leaving their longtime label, Warner Brothers.
They released their last album, 2012's A Different Kind of Truth, on Interscope.
