Roger Waters has expanded his 2023 album, The Dark Side of the Moon Redux, into a deluxe box set.
In addition to the album on two gold vinyl LPs, CD and Blu-ray all mixed in Dolby Atmos, there is a live version of the album recorded at the London Palladium on October 8th and 9th, 2023, also on gold vinyl, CD and Blu-ray, and mixed in Dolby Atmos.
There is also a track-by-track interview with Waters on Blu-ray; four 45-rpm vinyl discs from the original Redux album of "Money," "Time," "Speak to Me/Breathe" and "Us & Them," each with artwork etched on the B-side; and a 40 page commemorative book of photos from the making of the album, rehearsals and the concerts.
The initial orders of this collection from Roger's official store will contain a signed print from him. It will be released on March 14th.
In other Waters news, he has posted a video tribute to Garth Hudson of The Band, who died last week at 87. In talking about what The Band meant to him, Waters also recalled Levon Helm giving him an Arkansas Razorbacks baseball cap, which Waters wore when he went fishing. He also wore it at the Love for Levon tribute show on October 3rd, 2012 in New Jersey, where it was stolen. Hudson, Helm and the late Rick Danko were part of Waters’ show in July 1990 in Berlin in celebration of the fall of the Berlin Wall.
