UPDATE TO BELOW STORY....
Ringo Starr made his debut at Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry on Friday.
Taking the stage in a white cowboy hat like he wears on the cover of his new country album, Look Up, he said, “As you may have noticed I’m dressed up a bit tonight. I’m a cowboy inside, and this is a great honor and an incredible moment for me… This would just be a dream to end up here.”
He also performed three songs. He did both “Time on My Hands” from Look Up, and “Act Naturally” with Molly Tuttle, who sang and played on the album. And he finished with “With a Little Help From My Friends.”
Highlights from Ringo’s two shows last month at another legendary Nashville venue, the Ryman Auditorium, will make up a CBS special, Ringo & Friends at the Ryman, which airs on March 10th. The friends include Sheryl Crow, Jack White, Brenda Lee, Mickey Guyton, Emmylou Harris and others.

Ringo Starr is making his Grand Ole Opry debut tonight in Nashville.
He's been in Nashville all this week and on Wednesday, he was at the Musicians Hall of Fame to cut the ribbon on a new exhibit, Ringo Starr’s Beats & Threads.
The exhibit showcases a selection of his drum kits, sticks, snares, personal documents, and fashion pieces.
The drum kit on display was used at The Beatles' first Shea Stadium concert on August 15th, 1965.
Earlier yesterday, Ringo put in a brief appearance at the Country Radio Seminar at the Ryman Auditorium to plug his new country album, Look Up.
Last month, Ringo did two shows at the Ryman. They were filmed for a CBS special that will air this spring, Ringo and Friends at the Ryman.
