Leave it to Bruce Springsteen to inspire a fellow musician to record new music.
Case in point, John Cafferty, who, with his Beaver Brown Band, last released an album in 1989 with the Eddie and the Cruisers II: Eddie Lives soundtrack.
The album, Sound of Waves, is out today and Cafferty adds that he has a CD with Springsteen's name on it.
Cafferty celebrated the release with a show last night in New York City at the Cutting Room.
The album's first single is "Day in the Sun," and you can find a live video for it on YouTube.
Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band will open some shows on Rick Springfield's I Want My '80s tour starting May 29th in St. Augustine, Florida.
