There's no question that the story of Van Halen would make for an entertaining bio-pic, but Eddie Van Halen's first wife, actress Valerie Bertinelli, has no interest.
Earlier this week on The Drew Barrymore Show, she said, "Oh god, I hope they never do one of Van Halen. Make sure I’m dead. I told [our son] Wolfie, ‘Make sure I’m dead.’”
Drew then suggested that Selena Gomez "would be amazing" in portraying Valerie, to which Valerie said, "Selena, don’t do it! Please don’t do it!”
Valerie's former brother-in-law Alex Van Halen loved Queen's bio-pic, Bohemian Rhapsody, and he'd love to see one on Van Halen -- but he says there are obstacles.
Released in 2018, Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody remains the highest-grossing music bio-pic with a gross of just under $911 million.
