Metallica Re-Releasing their 1996 Album, 'Load'

Metallica are re-releasing their 1996 and sixth album, Load.

It will be out on June 13th in multiple formats with the Expanded and Deluxe digital versions featuring the extended version of “The Outlaw Torn," which was originally edited for release due to time constraints of the CD format.

The Load Remastered Limited Edition Deluxe Box Set contains previously unreleased demos, rough mixes, live performances, on-air and television appearances, and much more.

The one-time pressing will include the remastered album on 180-gram double vinyl, a “Mama Said” picture disc, and Loadapalooza '96, a triple album recorded their Lollapalooza headlining run at Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre in Irvine, California on August 4th, 1996.

The collection's 15 CDs range from the remastered Load album to never-before-released collected riffs, demos and rough mixes, B-Sides and rarities, and numerous live recordings, while its four DVDs contain behind-the-scenes, in-studio and live footage, on-air and television appearances, their Polar Beach Party visit to Tuktoyaktuk, Canada, and more.

Rounding out the set are numerous pieces of memorabilia including a pack of 14 Rorschach Test cards, a Pushead patch, poster, a Rolling Stone cover reproduction, a five-pack of guitar/bass picks, lyric sheets, two laminated tour passes and a deluxe 128-page book.

Load was Metallica's second album to debut atop the Billboard 200, where it would remain for four straight weeks.
