Breathing is important for all of us...maybe more so for the lead singer of a rock band. Scorpions were forced to cancel their second straight concert last night (this one at Monsters of Rock in Bogotá, Colombia) due to 76-year-old Klaus Meine's respiratory infection. It's the second straight night the band has had to tap out, following a cancellation for their Buenos Aires show. The band said in a statement, Meine "has still not recovered from the virus and respiratory infection that forced the recent Buenos Aires cancellation for SCORPIONS and is unfortunately still unable to sing...The band send massive apologies to all their loyal fans in Colombia and are again extremely disappointed not to be able to play in one of their favourite countries. They'll make every effort to return to Colombia in the future."

IN OTHER SCORPIONS NEWS.....
The Scorpions have no plans to record a new album.
Singer Klaus Meine, in an interview with Colombia's Radioacktiva, says, "We're so busy with touring that you know you need a moment to gather everyone together to go into the studio and create some new music. But right now, this 60-years-of-Scorpions celebration will take us one more time around the world to so many places. So, it's not the moment to create something new. But maybe a song or two, that might work, but not an album..."
And guitarist Rudolf Schenker adds, "Think about what it would be like if spent in the studio during our 60th anniversary celebration. That would be terrible. We have to party like crazy. [Laughs] So that's the point. We want to enjoy, with all the people around the world, that rock is still living and we are still living and we are enjoying [performing] still."
The Scorpions' last album was 2022's Rock Believer.
