50 years ago this week ,The Rolling Stones introduced their new guitarist, Ronnie Wood, in place of Mick Taylor. It was on May 1st, 1975 that they played "Brown Sugar" on a flatbed truck driving down Fifth Avenue in New York City.
It was done to announce their Tour of the Americas, which started a month later on June 1st in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, which was Woody's 28th birthday.
A post on Woody's Instagram page says he'll be celebrating his 50th anniversary with the Stones with "something very special. Find out more on May 8th.
