KISS to be Awarded Kennedy Center Honors in December

President Trump announced yesterday that the original members of KISS will be awarded Kennedy Center Honors.

Commenting on the award, Gene Simmons says, "KISS is the embodiment of the American dream. We are deeply honored to receive the Kennedy Center Honor."

Paul Stanley: "From our earliest days, KISS has embodied the American ideal that all things are possible and that hard work pays off. The prestige of the Kennedy Center Honors cannot be overstated and I accept this on behalf of the long legacy of KISS and all of the band members who helped create our iconic band."

Ace Frehley: "Coming from my humble beginnings growing up in The Bronx, New York, this honor is a dream come true that I never thought would materialize. All I can say is it’s beyond my wildest dreams, and I am very honored and grateful to be including with the rest of the honorees.” 

And Peter Criss: "I feel so blessed. This is the greatest honor of our career."

Joining them are country singer George StraitGloria Gaynor, actor Sylvester Stallone, and actor and singer Michael Crawford.

The festivities take place over the weekend of December 6th and 7th with a dinner at the State Department, a White House reception, and the tribute show on the 7th at the Kennedy Center, which airs later in the month on CBS.
