Another day, another Who update.
Pete Townshend says their fifth day in the studio was spent "adding drums and bass -- and sometimes guitar -- to the tracks I recorded last year to play to Roger [ Daltrey ] for a prospective new Who record. My demos were fairly advanced, and technically good, but I didn’t try to play real drums, and adding drums always feels better if there is bass at the same time. [Bassist] Pino [ Palladino ] and [drummer] Zak [ Starkey ] have a great vibe going, and all their work has enhanced my basic tracks."
Townshend also revealed another song title, "Beads on One String."
Daltrey is on vacation ahead of his trip to Florida next week to board the Rock Legends Cruise on Valentine's Day.
When done, this will be The Who's first studio album since Endless Wire in 2006.
