KISS: Destroying It for 45 Years...

KISS celebrates the 45th anniversary of their 1976 and fourth studio album, Destroyer, by reissuing it this Friday as a Super Deluxe four-CD + Blu-ray Audio box set, a two-disc black vinyl set, a limited-edition yellow and red double colored vinyl set, a two-CD set, and digitally.

Produced by Bob Ezrin, known at that time for his work with Alice Cooper, it gave us such KISS staples as "Detroit Rock City," "Shout it Out Loud," "God of Thunder" and their only Top 10 song, "Beth."

Destroyer was the band's first platinum album and remains their best-selling studio disc.

Here is what is contained in tomorrow's release of the album's Super Deluxe set:

The first CD includes the original album newly remastered at Abbey Road Mastering.

The second disc contains 15 demos from Gene Simmons' and Paul Stanley’s personal archives – nine of which are unreleased.

The third disc features studio outtakes, alternate versions / mixes and single edits – most notably a brand-new stripped-down mix for “Beth (Acoustic Mix).”

And disc four is a concert from the Olympia in Paris on May 22nd, 1976.

The Blu-ray Audio disc is a Dolby Atmos and 5.1 surround mix of the original album plus two bonus tracks -- “Beth (Acoustic Mix)” and “Sweet Pain (Original Guitar Solo)” featuring Ace Frehley’s original recorded guitar solo that was not released on the studio album. It was previously released on 2012'sDestroyer: Resurrected.
