Bruce Springsteen - 1993 Concert in Germany - "Across the Borderline"

Bruce Springsteen's archival concert release for April takes him back to Berlin and his 1993 tour in support of the two albums he released on March 31st, 1992 -- Human Touch and Lucky Town.

Waldbühne, Berlin Germany, May 14th, 1993 contains 31 songs, including tracks off those two albums, classics and some never-played covers, and the opening of the show was an acoustic set. This included a version of "This Hard Land," which he released two years later on his Greatest Hits album, one of four songs recorded for the album with the E Street Band.

One of the covers never done before the Berlin show was The Louvin Brothers' 1959 song "Satan's Jeweled Crown," which he and the band had begun to rehearse at soundcheck a few days earlier.

He also did Creedence Clearwater Revival's "Who'll Stop the Rain," "The Star-Spangled Banner" into "Born in the U.S.A." and "Across the Borderline," written by Ry CooderJohn Hiatt and Jim Dickenson for the soundtrack of the movie The Border.
