Michael Anthony has confirmed that he's been in talks about being part of a Van Halen tribute tour.
However, as he says on The Mitch Lafon and Jeremy White Show podcast, he was surprised to learn that Metallica bassist Jason Newsted was also contacted about being part of it.
In addition to Newsted, Joe Satriani was also asked to be part of it, and Roth also mentioned having Toto's Steve Lukather and Motley Crue's Tommy Lee come along.
Until then, Lukather is out with Toto and Ringo Starr's All-Starr Band; Lee is out this summer with the Crue; Satriani is on tour in the fall; and Anthony is on the road this summer with Sammy Hagar & The Circle.
