Blondie; Announces New Box Set "Against The Odds 1974-1982"

Blondie’s career is being celebrated with a new box set. “Blondie: Against The Odds 1974-1982” is set to drop August 26th.

The set will come out in four formats, including a Super Deluxe Collector’s Edition (with 10xLP, 1x7", 1x10" in Red, White, and Black vinyl formats), Deluxe 4LP, Deluxe 8CD and 3CD set. It will feature 124 tracks, 36 of which were previously unissued, with all music remasterd from original analog tapes and cut at Abbey Road Studios.

They all come in a foil-wrapped carton, with extensive liner notes, and track by track commentary from the band, including Debbie Harry, Chris Stein, Clem Burke, Jimmy Destri, Nigel Harrison, Frank Infante, and Gary Valentine. There’s also a 120-page illustrated discocography, hundreds of photographs and more.

  • "It really is a treat to see how far we have come when I listen to these early attempts to capture our ideas on relatively primitive equipment,” Harry shares “I am excited about this special collection. When I listen to these old tracks, it puts me there like I am a time traveler. As bad as it was sometimes, it was also equally as good. No regrets. More music."
