Derek Jeter is denying a decade-long rumor. The former New York Yankee said it “never happened” that he left gift baskets for his one-night stands.
A friend of one of Jeter’s many hookups told the New York Post in 2011, (quote) “Girls stay with him at his apartment. Then he gets them a car to take them home the next day. Waiting in his car is a gift basket containing signed Jeter memorabilia, usually a signed baseball.”
ESPN asked Jeter about the rumor while filming a docuseries to be released next week. Jeter replied, (quote) “People keep regurgitating this story that never happened. Never happened.” (Entertainment Tonight)
