John Mellencamp Announces Tour Dates and New Album Relesase

John Mellencamp has announced a winter and spring theater tour. Listen to the Bo and Jim Show ALL next week at 7:50 to win a pair, for his March 1, 2023 concert at Texas Trust CU Theater.

Live and In Person 2023 starts on February 5th and 6th in his hometown of Bloomington, Indiana and runs through June 24th in South Bend, Indiana with multiple nights in many cities.

The tour is sponsored by Turner Classic Movies, marking the first time he's had a tour partner. Last year, his documentary, The Good Samaritan Tour 2000, premiered on the cable channel.

Commenting on sponsorship, he tells us he never took it before because "you have to do [crap] I don't want to do." But he agreed to TCM because it enriched his life. Ticket info and more at Mellencamp.com.

And in other news, Mellencamp tells us he's finished his next album, which is titled Orpheus Descending after a three-act play by Tennessee Williams that was first staged on Broadway in 1957. No word on when it will be out.
