Alice Cooper held his 20th Christmas Pudding concert Saturday at the Celebrity Theater in Phoenix.
Once saying the goal is "a show where you don't have any idea what's gonna happen next," Cooper was joined by Rob Zombie, Gin Blossoms, Wayne Nelson from the Little River Band, and Wally Palmar from The Romantics. (Sammy Hagar had to cancel after coming down with the flu.)
Among the highlights were Nelson doing "Lonesome Loser" and "Reminiscing"; and Zombie covering Grand Funk's "We're an American Band," and, with Cooper's daughter Calico, The Beatles' "Helter Skelter."
Cooper capped the night with a set that included "No More Mr. Nice Guy," "Be My Lover," "Under My Wheels," "School's Out," and, with everybody on stage, Chuck Berry's "Run Rudolph Run."
The show raised more than a million dollars for Cooper's Solid Rock Teen Centers, which provide free music, dance, arts and vocational training programs for those between 12 and 20 in Phoenix and Mesa, Arizona.
In other Cooper news, Flagstaff, Arizona has honored him by naming one of their snowplows the Alice Scooper.
