Neil Young Discovers a Never Before Seen Crazy Horse Film. And He Likes It

Neil Young thought he'd seen every filmed Crazy Horse performance, but he admits that's not the case, having recently stumbled upon one from 2001 in Germany.

He writes on his website, "Previously I had only seen a single camera lock off of a few songs. When I visited Shakey Pictures World Headquarters the other day I saw what maybe could be the best Crazy Horse film ever made...

"What struck me was the pace the Horse was holding. There was no rush. Unbelievably in such a great pocket I recognized, but had never yet seen on film. The camera work is stunning. Great angles. Great moves. Amazing set and lighting...

"Now that’s just my opinion, but I have seen them all and this one blew me away."

With that, he plans to premiere it soon on his website's Hearse Theater exclusively for its members.

Just last month, Young wrote on his site about another Crazy Horse film shot in 1984 at the Catalyst in Santa Cruz, California that he's working on.
