With numerous Beatles documentaries the past few years, it's time for one on Paul McCartney's other band, Wings.
With a working title of Man on the Run, it's being directed by Morgan Neville, known for 20 Feet From Stardom and Roadrunner: A Film About Anthony Bourdain.
It has McCartney's full cooperation and financial backing, and he gave Neville full access to a never-before-seen archive of his and his late wife Linda’s home videos and photos, as well as new interviews.
The film begins with McCartney navigating the aftermath of the break-up of The Beatles and chronicles the arc of his solo career.
No word on when it will be released.
McCartney and Ringo Starr got together last week at Henson Recording Studios in Hollywood. Ringo tweeted a clip of them dancing to the ’70s disco hit “Young Hearts Run Free” by Candi Staton with the caption, “Man, this beautiful day is getting better and better. We were at the Stella McCartney roller skating party. What a time we had.”
