Neil Young Joins Stephen Stills to "Light Up the Blues"

Neil Young is getting back on stage for his long-time friend and former bandmate Stephen Stills.

They'll be headlining Stills's Light Up the Blues benefit on April 22nd at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles. Proceeds from the sixth edition of the concert will raise money for Autism Speaks.

This is the first public performance Young has done since he and Promise of the Real played at Farm Aid in East Troy, Wisconsin on September 21st, 2019. Promise of the Real will back up Stills and Young for their headlining set.

The complete lineup for the show hasn't been set as of yet, but Stills tells Rolling Stone that the late David Crosby's son James Raymond will take part in a tribute to his father. Stills says, “His singing voice sounds so much like David that it’s scary. There’s going to be some neat surprises. I’ve always had so much fun playing those songs, David’s songs. We’ve got James, and now we can get the chords, which was always a carefully kept mystery.”

Graham Nash likely won't be able to attend, as he already has a solo show booked that night in Pittsburgh.
