George Thorogood is being treated for a “very serious medical condition,” resulting in the cancellation of 18 Canadian and U.S. tour dates from April 27th through May 21st.
His management released a statement saying, “George has been diagnosed with a very serious medical condition that will require immediate surgery and quite a few weeks of recuperation and healing.
“You, our fans, mean the world to us, and we know this news is not what you wanted to hear, but rest assured George Thorogood and the Destroyers will be back. We’ll keep you updated as we know more.”
Thorogood, who is 73, lost his wife of 34 years, Marla, in 2019 to cancer.
