One UK group has become so fed-up waiting for new music from infamously-separated band Oasis that they turned to AI to help. Indie band Breezer used tracks they wrote in 2021 to create “The Lost Tapes” but replaced their singer’s vocals with an AI avatar of Liam Gallagher.
“We’re bored of waiting for Oasis to reform,” wrote the band on YouTube. “So we’ve got an AI modelled Liam Gallagher … to step in and help out. It seemed to be a perfect match, and we love how some of these have turned out.” Breezer admits they want “the band’s ’95-’97 line-up” to reunite and give fans new music.
But here’s the crazy thing… people are enjoying the AI music. Fans online have responded positively, and the social media-loving singer also chimed in with his thoughts. When asked by a fan on Twitter if he’d heard the album, Gallagher responded “Not the album, heard a tune. It’s better than all the other snizzle out there.” The singer even admitted his AI counterpart, nicknamed “AISIS,” sounded “mega.”
