Bob Seger has commented on last month’s passing of Tina Turner. saying she was “an inspiration to me throughout my life and career. She didn’t just break down barriers and stereotypes, she obliterated them. Her performances were explosive, her energy boundless and yet in the times I had the privilege to spend with her she was a kind, generous person with a gentle spirit. Sending comfort and prayers to her family and friends." Seger covered Tina’s “Nutbush City Limits” on his Beautiful Loser album in 1975 and again on Live Bullet in 1976.
