See Gary Rossington's Last Lynyrd Skynyrd, Performance in Theaters Saturday

The complete performance of Lynyrd Skynyrd doing “Gimme Three Steps” for the last time with founding guitarist Gary Rossington has been released ahead of the complete film of his last show with the band in theaters from Saturday through July 14th. You can watch it on YouTubeThe 50th Anniversary of Lynyrd Skynyrd was filmed at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville on November 22nd, 2022. Rossington died March 5th. He was 71. 

Recently we brought you the news that Lynyrd Skynyrd is pressing on even though the last original member has passed away. The band is also set to release a feature film of the final performance of Gary Rossington, who passed away in March.

And to prepare fans for the debut of “The 50th Anniversary Of Lynyrd Skynyrd,” the band has released footage of Rossington’s last performance of one of the group’s classic hits. “Gimme Three Steps” was filmed on November 22, 2022 at Nashville’s iconic Ryman Auditorium.

Lynyrd Skynyrd co-founder Gary Rossington's last show with the band, on November 22nd, 2022 at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, will be shown in theaters next month.

Skynyrd singer Johnny Van Zant says, "We are excited to share this special night and celebrate 50 years of Skynyrd music with the Skynyrd Nation and fans of these timeless songs.

"We were fortunate to capture this special evening with Gary Rossington and [his wife] Dale Krantz Rossington and all of the special guests that were able to join us on stage. It is certainly bittersweet because this was Gary's last show, but we are so fortunate that we were able to share one last special night together on stage, doing what Gary loved."

Rossington, the last surviving original member, died this past March 5th at 71 following years of heart issues.

He was the 13th casualty in the band's history, predeceased by, in order:
