Graham Nash Receives the Lennon Award and a Crosby Tribute Concert Set

Graham Nash will receive the John Lennon Real Love Award at the 43rd Annual John Lennon Tribute concert on Saturday, December 2nd at Town Hall in New York City.

Nash says, "This is a very special award... Over many years, I watched John and Yoko ‘fight the good fight’ for many whose voices were not being heard, a fight that Yoko continues to this day. I’m proud to be associated with the many fine artists who were previously honored with the John Lennon Real Love Award.”

Those honorees include Rosanne Cash, Natalie Merchant, Patti Smith and Donovan.

Joining Nash at the event will be Rosanne Cash, Judy Collins (onetime girlfriend of his bandmate Stephen Stills) and Nash's onetime girlfriend Rita Coolidge (who left Stills for Nash).

Proceeds from the tribute support Theatre Within’s ongoing free workshops in creative expression and mindfulness, including the John Lennon Real Love Project songwriting program, for the cancer community, elementary and middle schools, and youth in crisis.

This event remains the only Lennon tribute concert in the world to be sanctioned by Yoko Ono.

Crosby, Stills & Nash When David Crosby passed away in his sleep in January from COVID, he had been rehearsing with his new band, Stand and Be Counted -- the title of his 1999 song with CSNY and the title of his 2000 book, Stand and Be Counted: Making Music, Making History -- The Dramatic Story of the Artists and the Causes that Changed America.

They were scheduled to perform in February at the Lobero Theatre in Santa Barbara to celebrate the venue’s 150th birthday. That show will now take place on August 20th and will act as a tribute to Croz.

Among the band members are his son, James RaymondStephen Stills’s son, Chris StillsCSN and David Gilmour drummer Stevie Distanislao, and singer Lara Johnston, daughter of Doobie Brother Tom Johnston. They'll be joined by special guest and Crosby friend Shawn Colvin, and they'll perform the set list Crosby compiled for the February show.

Graham Nash will perform at the Lobero this Saturday.
