For fans of detail-oriented rock icons Judas Priest, patience is necessary. But according to guitarist Richie Faulkner, as followers wait for a highly-anticipated new album, it’s also a virtue. The rocker has revealed the band is working hard to get the final touches just right.
“It's been recorded,” assured Faulkner. “It's pretty much mixed now. We're just trying to decide what order the tracks should go. It's a really important thing.” In fact, the strummer compares this step to making a movie.
“If you edit the movie in the wrong order, it loses its potency,” he said. “So it's gotta be right.” When pressed about a release date, Faulkner admitted the band is aiming for early 2024 before adding “It’s pretty close.”
