Brian May has collaborated with numerous artists, but there's one artist he wishes he could have worked with.
He tells The Guardian, “I very seldom turn down a collaboration. A regret is that I didn’t get the chance to work with John Lennon.”
Brian adds, “The Beatles didn’t always agree, they were always pulling and pushing – a bit like us and Queen – and I think John would be such a stronger pusher and puller. You’d have to work really hard to keep up, to believe in your instincts. I could imagine us hitting it off.”
May — who shared the stage with Paul McCartney when Queen performed at Live Aid in 1985, and who was asked, but declined, to be part of Ringo Starr's All Starr Band — also says George Harrison and The Beatles were very influential.
