A high school football game went well past the final buzzer last Thursday, leading to a band director being stunned and arrested in front of all of his band students.
The incident happened at P.D. Jackson-Olin High School in Birmingham. After Minor High School won the game, the school's band director instructed the band to play music as part of the "fifth quarter." Even when officers started to clear the stadium, the music didn't stop. The officers instructed him to stop the music, but director Johnny Mims refused to stop the music, telling officers "Get out of my face" as the band continued to play. After being threatened with jail time, officers moved in and tried to handcuff Mims. The music finally stopped but the noise got louder. Local police released the 8-minute video of the entire altercation on Tuesday.
Mims was charge with disorderly conduct, harassment and resisting arrest charges. The incident is currently under investigation. (ABC News)
