Box Sets Coming from The Late John Entwistle and AC/DC

The Who will release six of their late bassist John Entwistle’s albums on May 15th in a new collection. The Ox Box Set contains 1971’s Smash Your Head Against the Wall, 1972’s Whistle Rymes, 1973’s Rigor Mortis Sets In, 1975’s Mad Dog, 1981’s Too Late the Hero, and 1996’s The Rock, plus 29 bonus tracks. They are contained in CD facsimiles of the original gatefold and individual sleeves, and are accompanied by a 28-page booklet. In addition, the first three albums are also being released on colored vinyl in their original gatefold sleeves. Entwistle died in 2002 on the eve of The Who's U.S. tour. He was 57. AC/DC To Drop Catalog On Gold Vinyl For Their 50th Birthday: AC/DC is turning 50 this year… and as part of their celebration, the band is releasing “AC/DC 50.” The issue is reportedly a massive nine-LP collection on gold vinyl, which includes some of their classic albums including 1975’s “High Voltage,” “Dirty Deeds Done Dirty Cheap” (1976), “Highway To Hell” (1979), and “Back In Black” (1980). Fans will be able to purchase the set individually or as a bundle for $239.97 starting March 15th. As we previously told you, AC/DC also recently announced their first tour in eight years which launches May 17th. No Texas or U.S. dates have been announced yet.
