Sammy Hagar Wraps Up US leg of 'Best of All Worlds' Tour

Sammy Hagar wrapped up the U.S. leg of The Best of All Worlds tour Saturday in Maryland Heights, Missouri, outside the city with arguably his biggest fan base, St. Louis.

The 28-city tour focused heavily on Hagar's time in Van Halen, which is why he brought in guitarist Joe Satriani to handle the late Eddie Van Halen's parts. He performed 14 songs from his time in the band, and one from the David Lee Roth-era, "Ain't Talkin' 'bout Love," which Michael Anthony sang.

Hagar says, "It’s been an honor and one hell of a ride so far."

The one hiccup: Drummer Jason Bonham had to leave after the 24th show to fly home to England to be with his mother Pat, who is seriously ill. Kenny Aronoff, who played with Hagar, Anthony and Satriani in Chickenfoot, finished the tour.

The next-to-last show, Friday in Noblesville, Indiana, was cut short due to the weather. After the fifth song it was held up for 45 minutes due to lightning. He then had to end it early due to an incoming storm, leaving out three songs.

On hand for that show was local resident John Mellencamp who paid a visit to Aronoff, who got his break in his band. He watched from the side of the stage.

And the show before that, last Wednesday in Nashville, Peter Frampton, who lives in Music City, came out to see his old friend.

Check out Frampton's original post about it here from his official X account.
