Mike Tyson revealed the extent of a health crisis that delayed the boxing match with Jake Paul. It had been scheduled for July. But on a cross-country flight on Memorial Day, Tyson suffered “nausea and dizziness due to an ulcer flare-up”.
Sunday morning, Tyson posted at Instagram (quote) “I almost died in June. Had 8 blood transfusions. Lost half my blood and 25-pounds in hospital and had to fight to get healthy to fight -- so I won.”
At least a few people that wagered on Tyson wished they’d known this beforehand. For example, Drake dropped $355,000 on Tyson to win for a payout over $1 million.
