Ozzy says, "It’s my time to go Back to the Beginning….time for me to give back to the place where I was born. How blessed am I to do it with the help of people whom I love. Birmingham is the true home of metal. Birmingham Forever."
And Tony Iommi adds, "It’s been an incredible journey, but it’s only fitting that it ends here, where it all began in Aston. It’s great to be honored by your fellow musicians and at the same time support good causes. None of this would’ve been possible without Ozzy, Geezer, and Bill. What we created together was bigger than any one of us, and I’ll always be grateful for that."
This will be Ozzy's first full set since December 31st, 2018. And it's the first show with Bill Ward since September 4th, 2005.
Sharon Osbourne insists that husband Ozzy and Black Sabbath's reunion on July 5th in their hometown of Birmingham, England -- Back to the Beginning -- will be the last.
She tells the BBC, "Ozzy didn't have a chance to say goodbye to his friends, to his fans, and he feels there's been no full stop. This is his full stop."
