Bon Jovi is returning to the stage this summer. Unfortunately, only a lucky few will be there.
The group hasn't toured since 2022, as frontman Jon Bon Jovi dealt with a throat issue that threatened his voice. His only appearance since was a mini-set in February at the MusiCares awards in Los Angeles. Bon Jovi is now scheduled to play this June in Nashville, but only in an "intimate private performance" at a "secret location" as part of an exclusive weekend travel package. No show-only tickets will be sold.

Jon Bon Jovi has unknowingly ruffled the feathers of Toms River, New Jersey Mayor Daniel Rodrick.
He opened an outpost of his Soul Kitchen restaurant at the shore town's public library, and Rodrick claims it's become a “day shelter and soup kitchen,” due to the amount of homeless people congregating there.
“They’ve completely ignored all of our complaints and concerns,” says Rodrick. “Mothers shouldn’t have to walk through large gangs of intoxicated and mentally ill men with their children to borrow a book.”
Jon and his wife Dorothea, who opened the non-profit restaurant in Red Bank, New Jersey in 2011 to serve the community -- there are no prices listed on the menu, and diners pay what they can for their meal -- or they can donate hours back to the diner -- issued a statement saying, "The JBJ Soul Foundation and JBJ Soul Kitchen are committed to ending homelessness through real solutions. Through our JBJ Soul Kitchen, we connect people to resources and services.
Whether they need employment, mental health support, or housing, we try to remove the barriers that are keeping them from thriving, not just surviving.”
The Toms River annex, which is in addition to a permanent location in the town, is scheduled to remain open through May.
On the music side of things, while Bon Jovi no longer tour due to problems with Jon's vocal cords, he still does private shows as part of his Runaway Tours travel experiences for fans willing to pony up a couple of grand.
The next one, with the Bon Jovi band, is June 13th to the 15th in Nashville. Details are at RunawayTours.com.
