He's a Brit; he's heavy metal, so the choice of Bruce Dickinson to perform the National Anthem before the Pittsburgh Steelers-Seattle Seahawks game Sunday may seem like an odd one, but the Iron Maiden singer was up to the task.
Bruce first sang the anthem during his solo concert at the House Of Blues in Boston, Massachusetts just days before, as kind of a warmup, and told the crowd there, "So I'm gonna let you in to a dirty little secret that is gonna happen on Sunday. I've been asked to sing the American national anthem at a Pittsburgh Steelers game."
He admitted he had never sung the song in his life, but for only his second time ever, and on national television, Dickinson pulled it off.
