Four of the six original members of Kansas reunited Friday night during the band's show in Bonner Springs, Kansas.
Guitarist Richard Williams, who just last month announced that he was cutting back on touring due to macular degeneration, came out for the final four songs of the set -- "Dust in the Wind," "Can I Tell You," "Down the Road" and "Miracles Out of Nowhere."
He then returned for the encore of "Hold On" and "Carry on Wayward Son" with drummer Phil Ehart, who no longer tours after suffering a heart attack last year; guitarist and primary songwriter Kerry Livgren, who left in the early '80s, although he has been in and out a few times since; and bassist Dave Hope, who left in 2000.
Singer Steve Walsh, who left in 2014, was not on hand, and violinist and vocalist Robby Steinhardt died in 2021.
Kansas will play Choctaw Casino's Grand Theater on Saturday, November 22nd.
