Joey Bosa put forth the challenge to Joey Chestnut for eating supremacy as the two were a part of the Wonderful Pistachios Get Crackin' Eating Championship in Santa Monica, CA.
The reigning event champion Nick Wehry was also on hand, but it was James Webb with the upset setting a record with 338 pistachios eaten in eight minutes!
Even though Bosa entered the contest, his expectations for the event were very realistic,
"I don't really care where I place," he said. "My main goal is to not choke and die on a pistachio in front of a bunch of people. If I could accomplish that, then it's a win in my book."
He still got a vote of confidence from new head coach of the Los Angeles Chargers, Jim Harbaugh, who said he'd win the Wonderful Pistachios Get Crackin' Eating Championship.
