Iron Maiden is celebrating the 40th Anniversary of Powerslave!
BMG released a limited-edition vinyl pressing to mark the occasion, the band’s first-ever zoetrope picture disc, features zoetrope artwork and the 2015 remaster of the album. The original sleeve contains new artwork and exclusive ‘Powerslave At 40’ liner notes from Steve Harris.
Powerslave was Maiden's fifth album, powered by "2 Minutes to Midnight" and "Aces High". The cover is iconic for its Ancient Egypt theme, which carried over to the album's World Slavery Tour, with a giant mummified Eddie for the show. The band's longest tour led to the live album Live After Death.
