Today is National Pancake Day!
Every year at this time, National Pancake Day is celebrated to raise money for charity. IHOP began National Pancake Day in 2006, and raised close to $30 million for charities, so everyone it’s time to celebrate free pancakes at IHOP, and pay it forward by leaving a donation.
Also called Johnnycakes (especially in the Dominican Republic), griddle cakes, or hotcakes, the batter-made breakfast dish dates back 30,000 years, possibly making it the oldest breakfast food in history. So, whether you’re eating it with whipped cream, maple syrup, fruit, and berries head on down to your local IHOP and get a free stack!
