The Tesla Model S Beat A Porsche 911 In Speed Test

Whoa! The folks at Tesla Motor Cars are destroying all preconceptions about electric vehicles.

The Tesla Model S P100D just became the first production car to reach 60 mph in under 2.3 seconds in a Motor Trend speed test.

Operating in Tesla's "Easter egg" ludicrous mode, the Model S reached 60 mph faster than the Porsche 911 Turbo S. WOW!

Now keep in mind the Tesla ain't cheap! The Model S P100D on Ludicrous Mode has a base price of $135,700.

The Porsche 911 Turbo S has a base price of $188,100
