If it wasn't for bad luck, the Dallas Stars would have no luck at all this season.
Last night in Ottawa the Stars' special teams let them down again, allowing a short handed goal, and the uber-rare OWN GOAL.
On a delayed penalty, the Stars pulled their goalie for the extra attacker. If Ottawa touches the puck the whistles blows and the play is dead. Instead, Stars forward Jiri Hudler decides to blindly drop the puck backwards, between his two defensemen, and the puck goes right into the Stars' net.
The goal counts for Ottawa, and the Stars would go on to lose their 4th straight game in regulation, the first time that's happened, in a season of depressing firsts.
