It's Official! Tony Romo Retiring To Replace Phil Simms At CBS

Well, now we know. Tony Romo is leaving football and going into broadcasting.

Romo has signed on to join the CBS NFL team, where he'll join Jim Nantz in the broadcast booth as the top NFL analyst on the network, replacing Phil Simms.

I for one think this is the best move Tony (and CBS) could have made.

Certainly one of the highlights of my 5-year span as In-Stadium Host for the Dallas Cowboys came in December of 2014, after Tony Romo led the Cowboys to a 42-7 win over the Indianapolis Colts to complete an 12-4 regular season and clinch a playoff spot.

I was fortunate to interview Tony for a few short moments on the field after that win. He saluted the fans for being so loud that day, smirked at my fauxhawk (pictured below) and it seemed like the Cowboys all-time leading passer was on top of the world.
