I've been talking about the "Classic West" and "Classic East" shows for a few weeks now, ever since it was reported Fleetwood Mac and The Eagles were confirmed.
Well now according to Billboard the shows will be filled out with the addition of Steely Dan, the Doobie Brothers, Journey, and Earth, Wind, & Fire.
Pretty solid lineup to go head-to-head with whatever the still unannounced 2017 'Desert Trip' can muster this year.
According to the report, "Classic West" happens on July 15th and 16th at L.A.'s Dodgers Stadium, with the Eagles headlining the first night with Steely Dan and the Doobie Brothers; and the second night Fleetwood Mac topping the bill with Journey, and Earth, Wind, & Fire. The same order and lineup will be repeated on July 29th and 30th at New York's CitiField.
These shows will mark the first concerts for the Eagles since the death of Glenn Frey in January of 2016. No word on whether the band will replace him for the concerts or divvy up his songs between Don Henley, Timothy B. Schmit, and Joe Walsh.
