Dallas Police sent a sincere thank you via twitter (below) to the "brave & caring citizens who ran to the aid of one of our officers today. The love from our community is truly inspiring"
A Dallas police officer was hospitalized Monday after a collision that sent his patrol car into a creek 30 feet below the roadway.
The officer was rescued by a group of good samaritans who rushed into the creek to help roll the patrol car back over on it's wheels. The officer was reportedly left with critical injuries, but the department was grateful for the "brave and caring citizens."
