Another one of my childhood heroes has passed. Adam West, the actor who portrayed the Caped Crusader on the classic 1960s series Batman, died Friday night in Los Angeles after a short battle with leukemia. He was 88.
According to reports, West died peacefully surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife Marcelle, six children, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Flowers will be placed on Adam West's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame throughout the day today.
