That Time Donny & Marie Ruined Bowie, Steely Dan

If you're old enough to remember the Donny & Marie TV Series you remember it ran from 1976-1979 on ABC. It was a variety show that featured plenty of song and dance.

It was painfully obvious Donny (then 18) and Marie (16) Osmond wanted to be "hip" or "cooler" that their squeaky clean image, so they tackled songs that were way out of their comfort zone.

Here are two examples... Donny covering David Bowie's "Fame" and below that Donny & Marie's butchering of Steely Dan's "Reelin' In The Years"
