I just knew David Letterman would return... eventually.
After 33 years on TV Dave called it quits in 2015 to spend more time with his family. Since then he's made very few public appearances - most notably when he inducted Pearl Jam at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Now, he's just released a statement saying he's back, with a new show coming to Netflix. The show will debut in 2018 and consist of 6 hour-long episodes.
There's no show title yet, but the statement says the show will feature "in-depth conversations with extraordinary people, and in-the-field segments expressing his curiosity and humor."
Letterman said "I feel excited and lucky to be working on this project for Netflix. Here’s what I have learned, if you retire to spend more time with your family, check with your family first."
No word whether he'll shave the beard for the show...
