RUSH Fans, Would You Be Interested In 'LeeLifeson'?

Rush fans, let me preface this story by saying it's all just RUMORS at this point, but an interesting conundrum nonetheless.

Would you support Geddy lee and Alex Lifeson if they teamed up to record/perform without legendary drummer Neil Peart?

Neil Peart

It's no mystery Peart has retired. In fact there are reports he doesn't even have a drum kit in his house anymore. And while Peart has called it quits apparently Geddy Lee wants to continue in some fashion, and guitarist Alex Lifeson is at least open to the idea.

During a recent radio broadcast former VH1 "That Metal Show" host Eddie Trunk hinted at the possibility of Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson creating a group called "LeeLifeson."

Trunk said

"Geddy told me he is actually reinvigorated. He told me at the time he made some changes to his diet which helped his voice…and he had a ton of energy, and he wanted to make music and continue in some way.Alex seems to be somewhere in the middle. Alex has said publicly he absolutely wants to do some stuff again. He’s doing some producing, he’s doing some writing. There has been talk about a band called LeeLifeson, which would be the two of them going out and doing stuff together. They would never call it Rush. Those guys are too classy…they would never do that… They would call it potentially LeeLifeson, maybe play some Rush tunes and make new music, because they want to continue to create new music as well.I’ve heard rumors about that….it’s up to them..."

So, RUSH fans ... what do you think? Would you support a 2/3 version of your favorite band? As a fan myself I'd say 2/3 is better than nothing. Bring it on!
