This New Company Wants To Genetically Resurrect The Woolly Mammoth

A new company called "Colossal" that was founded by Ben Lamm (a technology/software entrepreneur) and George Church (biologist at Harvard Medical School) launched on Monday.

Their goal, according to USA Today, is to "rapidly advance the field of species de-extinction" and using gene-editing “to restore the woolly mammoth to the Arctic tundra."

The company has more information about resurrecting the woolly mammoth on their website, colossal.com/mammoth.

Oh, according to a tweet from the NY Times, they have $15 million in private funding!
